Step One: If it's not too late, file a PennDOT appeal.
If you received a suspension notice from PennDOT, you want to file an appeal to stop the suspension from taking effect. (This is called "staying" the suspension.)

Generally, you must file the appeal within thirty days from the date of the suspension notice. (There are, however, things you can do if you did not file the appeal within thirty days.) After you file the appeal, you must serve PennDOT with a copy. When they receive it, they will stay the suspension and send you a notice saying it is okay to drive. Unless and until you receive such notice, you should not drive after the suspension start date. Otherwise you may be violating the law.

Once the suspension is stayed, you have more time to try to eliminate the underlying reason(s) for your suspension.
